Upon completion of Brigette’s B.A. in Psychology at Ryerson University, she chose to pursue a master’s degree in Business Management (MMgt) at the Schulich School of Business in hopes to combine her passion for human behaviour with an understanding of the traditional facets of business. Bridgette now works in the higher-education management sector at Yorkville University.
Brigette completed her honours thesis with Dr. Choma in 2018, titled: “Post-Baby body image: Self-objectification, self-compassion and wellbeing”, where they examined the relationship between self-objectification and wellbeing in Postpartum women, while also considering how self-compassion can potentially attenuate the negative relationship. Brigette continues to assist Dr. Choma on self-objectification projects.
